Helping You Reconnect and Grow Together

Every relationship goes through ups and downs. Sometimes it feels like you and your partner can't stop arguing. Other times, the distance between you feels so wide that it's hard to imagine finding your way back. If you're longing for more closeness, trust, and understanding, couples therapy can help.

MEET DR. LAUREN WOOLLEY

I'm Dr. Lauren Woolley, a licensed psychologist trained in both Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method—two of the most trusted approaches to couples work.

  • EFT focuses on the emotions underneath the arguments. Together, we'll uncover what's happening in those moments of conflict or disconnection so that you can feel safer and more supported with each other.

  • The Gottman Method gives you practical tools for communication, conflict management, and rebuilding friendship and intimacy. It’s based on decades of research into what makes relationships last.

By blending these approaches, I create a safe, supportive space where you and your partner can slow down, hear each other, and begin to rebuild the connection you desire.

Why Couples Therapy?

Reasons Couples Come to Therapy:

  • You're stuck in the same fights over and over.

  • You feel more like roommates than partners.

  • Trust has been shaken, and you're unsure how to repair it.

  • Life changes—like becoming parents, changing careers, or preparing for retirement—are putting stress on your relationship.

  • Intimacy feels distant, or communication feels impossible.

  • You want to strengthen your bond and set yourselves up for the future.

In therapy, you'll:

  • Learn how to break free from negative patterns that keep you apart

  • Practice new ways of talking (and listening) that bring more understanding and care

  • Rebuild closeness, trust, and intimacy

  • Find healthier ways to handle conflict without hurting the relationship

  • Deepen your friendship and a sense of being a team

“My role is to guide you—not to take sides, but to help you both feel heard and supported. I want to help you move towards what you value and care about. With warmth, curiosity, and respect, I'll help you discover new ways of connecting that feel genuine and lasting.”
